Oxtongue Rapids Park Road, Dwight

1km Riverside Paths

  • Take the western access to this seasonally-maintained (no winter access) road and park in the picnic area lot

  • Use caution when exploring - this is fast moving water

  • The rapids at the picnic area are beautiful, but follow the road and then trail upstream to find Elbow Rapids and Hog’s Trough - an even more impressive slide waterfall

  • There is a monument and bridge you can check out toward the west end of the road as well

  • It’s on the edge of uber-popular Algonquin Park, but most people drive right on by this incredible spot not realizing it’s there
